A Second Chance Feline
A Second Chance Feline Rescue Collection
Every rescue has a beginning. Ours began with one remarkable cat named Mama Kitty.
At five years old, Mama Kitty was rescued from a life spent confined inside a small airline pet carrier. She was covered in sores and fleas because of an allergy to bentonite clay litter, yet despite everything she had endured, she never stopped trusting people. She became the heart of our family and lived an extraordinary life, passing away just three weeks shy of her 25th birthday.
Then came Biscuit.
Biscuit was my very first bottle baby after his mother was tragically struck by a car. From the very beginning, he believed he could do anything. By the age of three, he stood 21 inches tall, weighed 25 pounds, loved How to Train Your Dragon, and was convinced he was a real Night Fury. Whenever I put his dragon wings on him, he truly believed he could fly.
Mama Kitty and Biscuit were inseparable. After Mama Kitty passed away, Biscuit's heart simply could not recover. On April 7, I whispered to him that it was okay to let go and that I would be alright. His birthday was June 18, when he turned twelve, and on July 26 he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
The truth is, I wasn't alright.
I still miss him every single day.
Their lives taught me that every animal deserves compassion, dignity, and the chance to know what love feels like.
Years later, I traveled to a hoarding situation in Schenectady, New York, involving more than 450 cats spread across three floors. I had planned to rescue five cats. I came home with thirty.
Among them was Little Blue, a frail three-month-old dilute calico weighing only ten ounces. Holding her reminded me once again why rescue work must always be built on compassion, accountability, and putting the animals first.
Those experiences shaped the mission of A Second Chance Feline Rescue.
This collection is dedicated to every animal that has fought to survive, every volunteer who chooses compassion over convenience, and especially to Mama Kitty and Biscuit—the two souls who forever changed my life.
Biscuit will always be my little Watermelon Felon.
Every handcrafted product in this collection is created in their memory and in honor of every cat still waiting for a second chance.
